As a Fiorentina youth player, Eljon Toci won the Coppa Italia twice and the Primavera Supercup just as often. Now the Meraner will take the next step in Serie C.

Toci – he is 4 years old – has already played 20 Serie C games. All for FC Südtirol in the 2019/20 season. The offensive player from Merano then went to Florence, where he spent three years with Fiorentina's youth team. Most recently he was even captain of the Tuscan U19s and trained with coach Vincenzo Italiano's professional team. In September of last year, Toci was even called up for the senior national team of Albania, his parents' home country.

Now Toci, who played in South Tyrol for Olimpia Meran and the FCS, should take the next step in his career and establish himself in professional football. Toci will play in Serie C at Sestri Levante (Group B). He was loaned from Fiorentina for a year. The Ligurians played in Serie D last year and were crowned champions there. This means that the club will play in Serie C again next season, for the first time in 1 years.
