Knockout victory in London: Usyk undisputed boxing world champion

Boxing superstar Oleksandr Usyk has crowned himself undisputed heavyweight world champion for the second time. The Ukrainian defeated Briton Daniel Dubois by fifth-round knockout at London's Wembley Stadium.

The WBA, WBO and WBC world champion thus took the IBF title from his opponent, and Usyk holds all four belts of the major associations for the second time after 2024.

In front of 90.000 spectators in the huge arena, the 38-year-old Usyk came into the fight much better than his opponent, who was eleven years his junior. The Ukrainian was more agile and landed several punches. In the fifth round, the three-division champion knocked his opponent to the floor for the first time. Dubois got back to his feet, but was finally knocked out after a few seconds – Usyk raised both arms.

Congratulations from President Zelensky

The Ukrainian, who was also undefeated in his 23 previous professional fights, won his first unification bout against Tyson Fury on points. He won his first fight against Dubois in 2023 by technical knockout.
