Zalaegerszegi defeated the German defending champions SKV Rot Weiß Zerbst in the final, while Liedolsheim prevailed against the Austrian team SK FWT Composites Neunkirchen. KK Neumarkt narrowly lost the home World Cup in the third-place match against KSK Orth of Austria 3-5.
In the end, SKV Rot Weiß Zerbst's second consecutive title defense and World Cup number 13 were lost. The team from Saxony-Anhalt (Germany) never really got into the game against the Hungarian Zalaegerszegi TK, who had narrowly defeated KK Neumarkt in the semifinals. Although Zerbst ultimately trailed by only 25 pins in the overall score (3767:3792), Zalaegerszegi was a force in the duels, consistently winning sets by narrow margins.
Levente Kakuk, Zsombor Zapletan, Zoltan Flavius Feher, and Szilard Jarfas earned the match points for Hungary, while reigning individual world champion Tim Brachtel scored a personal best of 669 for Zerbst, along with Timo Hoffmann and Mario Nusslein (substituted on throw 61). The overall score was 6:2, earning Zalagerszegi TK the second World Cup in the club's history.

But the German teams didn't return home without success. The women's competition featured an almost thrilling final between the Austrians SK FWT Composites Neunkirchen and the Germans KV Liedolsheim.
The final score was 4:4, as Bianca Golla, Sandra Sellner, Yvonne Schneider, and Saskia Seitz/Vanessa Rauch (substituted on throw 91) scored for Liedolsheim, while Boglarka Hari (with the day's best of 645 pins) and Fiona Steiner/Mia-Laura Baumgartner (substituted on throw 91) scored for Neunkirchen. The Austrians had the better overall score of 3506:3488 pins, thus earning the last two match points. Sets had to decide the match. And there, Liedolsheim led 14,5:9,5 points and claimed the first World Cup in the club's history.
Neumarkt loses game for third place
The third-place matches took place on Saturday morning at the Pfarrhof bowling alleys in Bolzano. Local favorites KK Neumarkt were also present in the men's match. And just as in the semifinals, the Unterland team suffered a 3-5 defeat. This time, 19 pins were decisive in the small final against the Austrian team KSK Orth. After Vilmos Zavarko (with a personal best of 653 pins), Tamás Kiss, and Erik Kuna scored for Neumarkt, and Martin Rathmayer, Michal Kratochvil, and Lukas Temistokle scored for Orth, the final score was decisive. Orth led the overall score with 3671 to 3652 pins, so the Austrians took third place, leaving Neumarkt with a slender finish.
