The first bowling titles have been awarded

In the women's category, Fugger Vipiteno defended their title after beating last year's finalists Villnöß 5-1. In the men's game it was 6:2 for KK Neumarkt, who had anything but an easy game against Fugger Vipiteno.

But first things first: The big final weekend opened on Saturday. Then it was the turn of the men in the B and C classes, first in their semi-finals and then in the finals. In the lowest category, the C class, the third team from Kurtatsch the title. In the final they put Tirol Mutspitz II in their place with 6:2. Tramin ended up in third place, beating Mölten 3:5.

Lana and Kurtatsch cheer The young team won the B class Lana III the Italian Cup. The final against Pfalzen II was hard to beat in terms of excitement. After all the bowlers had their turn, the score was 4:2 for Pfalzen. Since Lana had cleared 12 more pins (3115:3103), the 2 match points for the total blade went to Lana, as did the final victory, since she also had more set points. Third place went to Jaufenburg. In the game for bronze place, Passeier beat Aldein II 3-6.

On Sunday we continued with the finals of the highest classes, i.e. the A and B classes for women and the A1 and A2 classes for men. There was no surprise on the big final day at the end: the title holders of the Italian Cup are still the same Fugger Vipiteno and KK Neumarkt .

In the women's final, the Fuggers faced the same competitors as last season: Villnöß. Except for sports captain Nathalie Profanter, who defeated Sofia Saxl with 3-1 set points, no Villnössian player scored a match point against Laura Runggatscher & Co. The final result was 5:1 and the title was defended.

The Villnössians had to settle for second place.

A team from the B class took third place: Kiens, who had been relegated from last year, prevailed in another extremely exciting game. 3:3 on match points, 2100:2094 wood from the Kiener team's point of view, but the better set point ratio brought the bronze trophy to the Pustertal.

Florian Thaler scores against his former club In the men's final there was a Neumarkt victory, but the Unterlandler starting group had a harder time against arch-enemy Fugger Sterzing than in previous years. Both the ex-Neumarkt and Vipiteno newcomer Florian Thaler and North Tyrol ace Reinhard Gruber - who defeated none other than Tamàs Kiss - scored 2 match points.

But the other points remained with Neumarkt, which was also a lot ahead in the overall wood count and won. As in the previous year, third place went to Kurtatsch. The Unterlanders beat Ratschings 3:7.
