Italian Bouldering Championships: South Tyroleans achieve respectable successes

Four South Tyrolean athletes from the national team participated in the Italian Bouldering Championships at the "Monkey Island" in Rome this weekend. All four reached the semifinals and achieved respectable results.

Four athletes from the South Tyrolean national team, which is supported by the AVS, qualified for the Italian Bouldering Championships in Rome. A total of over 80 athletes from across Italy participated.

The South Tyrolean athletes were accompanied and coached by Lisa Kirsten and Lena Trojer. All four reached the semifinals. "They had to solve complex bouldering problems and showed remarkable performances," the coaches summarized. The boulders were particularly difficult for the girls. It is all the more remarkable that Matilda Moar achieved 8th place. The sisters Alina and Emma Benazzi placed in the middle of the field: Emma finished 20th, Alina 22nd. Johannes Egger reached 17th place.

The next event for the national squad is the Italian Cup in Modena on the last weekend of March.
