Runners conquer Naturnser Sonnenberg

Because the weather forecasts don't promise anything good (there could even be snowfall at higher altitudes), a slightly modified route was chosen for the “Sunny Mountain Trail”. This is shorter than the planned 30 kilometers and 2100 meters in altitude. With the start and finish at Naturns Rathausplatz, participants in the long distance now have to cover 29km and 1900m. But the slightly shortened route will also demand everything from the trail specialists on Naturnser Sonnenberg. Like last year, in addition to the “Sunny Mountrain Trail”, there is also the “Naturns Sky Race” with 15km and 1150hm to choose from. Some top international athletes from the trail running scene will be there, such as the “Azzurro” Daniele Felicetti, the Germans Johannes Klein, Andreas Schindler, Christoph Lauterbach, Florian Reichert and Marcel Höche as well as the Austrians Alexander Hutter and Christian Stern for the men the Germans Anna Hahner, Susi Reichert and Kimi Schreiber in the women's category. Lots of South Tyrolean trail aces there But we are particularly excited about the South Tyrolean participants, who also want and can have a say in the top places. Last year's Skyrace winners, Armin Larch and Annelise Felderer, as well as Philipp Plungger, Anton Steiner, Philipp Ausserhofer, Lukas Mangger, Hannes Perkmann, Julia Kessler and Edeltraud Thaler are there. The “Sunny Mountain Trail” starts at 9 a.m. at the town hall square in the center of Naturns, the “Skyrace” athletes start at around 10.30:XNUMX a.m. The respective winners are expected at lunchtime. Of course, the trail runners won't be deterred by the bad weather forecast, because after all, these extreme athletes love challenges - and tomorrow there will certainly be more than enough of them.
