South Tyroleans impress at the Quercia meeting in Rovereto

In her season debut over the 400m hurdles, Agreiter achieved a strong 1:00.86 minutes. The 24-year-old from Bruneck clearly won ahead of Alessia Gentilini (1:05.59) and Burgstaller Maddalena Melle (1:05.67). Pole vault ace Nathalie Kofler from Lana, which broke the 4-meter mark twice in the last two weeks, jumped 3.90 m, but then failed three times to reach the new national record height of 4.05 m. Federica Cavalli from the South Tyrol Team Club ran the 200 m in a good 25.29 seconds, U18 talent Agata D'Angelo came in 26.46. The four U18 aces from the Meran sports club, Anna Hofer, Emily Vucemillo, Lisa Leuprecht and Nike Frick, were able to put themselves in the spotlight. In the 3000 m competition, Coach Hans Ladurner's protégés achieved four great times with 10:11.47, 10:13.17, 10:14.73 and 10:38.82 minutes. 800 m runner Katharina Unterberger (2:27.21) from SSV Bruneck was also convincing. Long jumper Nora Rinner from LAC Vinschgau reached 5.27 m. The Merano discus thrower Marie Gruber achieved a new record with 37.69 m. After the “Città di Trento” meeting, the track and field athletes once again showed top performances a few kilometers south in Rovereto. Caren Agreiter and four U18 talents from SC Meran were particularly impressive.
