Marco Bezzecchi is happy about his sprint hat trick

MotoGP set up camp in Australia this weekend. Italian Marco Bezzecchi celebrated a hat trick in the sprint race.

Bezzecchi, who rides for Aprilia Racing, won the third sprint race of his season – following his victories in Misano and Mandalika. In Australia, a duel with Raul Fernandez emerged soon after the start – the Spaniard confirmed his upward trend after the race in Indonesia.

Behind them, Pedro Acosta (KTM) finished on the podium, more than five seconds behind the winner. The second-best Italian was Fabio Di Giannantonio, who crossed the finish line in fifth place.

Ducati with difficulties

The Ducati riders, however, had a tough time, especially Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia: The 28-year-old finished 19th, followed by his teammate Michele Pirro (20th). The race at Phillip Island takes place on Sunday at 6:00 a.m. CEST.
