Marc Marquez continued his impressive winning streak in the 2025 MotoGP season, winning the sprint at the American Grand Prix in Austin. The Ducati factory rider started from pole position and held his own in an intense race against strong opposition. His brother, Alex Marquez of the Gresini team, finished second, less than a second behind, while Francesco Bagnaia, also of the Ducati factory team, completed the podium. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli, both riding Ducati for the VR46 team, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The race was characterized by exciting battles for position, especially between Marc Marquez and Bagnaia on the opening lap. Despite the warm conditions and challenging track conditions, Marquez maintained his lead and claimed his fifth consecutive victory. The six-time world champion leads the championship standings with a maximum of 86 points.
Marquez takes pole
Marquez had already made a strong impression in qualifying earlier in the morning. With a lap time of 2:01,088 minutes, he secured pole position for the main race – his third of the season and his eighth in Austin. Particularly noteworthy: Behind him are two other Ducati-powered riders, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez, suggesting a potential three-way battle for victory. Pedro Acosta, Franco Morbidelli, and Francesco Bagnaia complete the top six – all riders with podium potential.Edit Profile
