South Tyrolean successes at the Italian Minicross Championship

Last weekend, the second final race of the Italian Minicross Championship took place in Riola Sardo, Sardinia. Two South Tyroleans, Liam Pichler (MC Berbenno Pardi Royal Pat) and Elia Fulco (MC Arco), competed in the 85 Senior class.

On the deep sand track in Riola, Liam Pichler from Collepietra celebrated his first podium finish in this class. With fourth place in the first run and third place in the second run, he secured third place overall. Elia Fulco competed despite suffering from a fever, finished 20th in the first run, and had to retire early in the second run due to a technical problem.

At the same time, the final round of the Italian Championship for Veterans, Experts, and Riders took place in Cremona. In the MX2 Master class, Norbert Lantschner (MC Evergreen) from Steinegg delivered a strong race, finishing second. He finished fourth overall. In the MX1 Expert class, Georg Falser (Ferlu Racing) finished 20th. In the MX2 Expert class, Dominik Varotto (Ferlu Racing) narrowly missed the A final, finishing fourth in the B final. In the MX2 Rider class, Andrea Asinari (Scuderia Dolomiti) finished 40th.

South Tyrol's young and experienced riders once again demonstrated strong performances on the national stage.
