A Cycling

Gino Bartali saved hundreds of Jewish lives as a bicycle courier. During the Nazi era, he hid documents in his bicycles and helped cover up the origins of his fellow Jews. At the same time he was a national hero as a cyclist.

20th anniversary of Bartali's death: cycling legend & savior for hundreds of Jews
