How human is this Tadej Pogacar?
Simon Geschke would like to do one impossible thing before the end of his career. "I would like to take a look inside his head and see what's going on there," said the 38-year-old. He is referring to the head of Tadej Pogacar, who crowned himself the new road cycling world champion with an attack 100 kilometers from the finish.

That was pretty crazy. But when you're in form, you're in form," said Geschke about the show of force in Zurich. He himself will be racing in his last race on German Unity Day in Münster.
At 26 years old, Pogacar still has a lot ahead of him - especially victories and even more dominance, if you believe the competition. "This is just the beginning. He is stronger than ever," said dethroned world champion Mathieu van der Poel. The Dutchman underlined Pogacar's popularity: "Everyone is happy that he is world champion. He is the best. He will be a worthy world champion."
World Cup start almost missed
At least Pogacar admitted that he was at his limit during his absurdly long escape. "I was completely exhausted. I was already looking over my shoulder," said the Slovenian. On the last lap, the competition had closed in on him to within 35 seconds, but Pogacar did not let that bother him: "I had good information about the gaps. Pogacar almost slept through his triumphant ride. Luckily, his fiancée Urska Zigart was more awake. "We had to get up pretty early and that's not something I'm very good at," Pogacar reported. "I had set three alarms. I turned off the first one and just went back to sleep. But then, luckily, Urska woke me up."
