Jumping in the Alps: Vittori starts the final tournament with a victory

The international show jumping tournament "Jumping in the Alps" is slowly but surely approaching its conclusion. The last of three tournaments began on Friday. Eighteen competitions were held at the Wiesen Riding Club in midsummer weather conditions.

The highest-paying competition of the day, in the C140 category (2200 euros prize money), went to Riccardo Vittori of the riding club of the same name, who prevailed on Cayeto Z with a strong time of 57,21 seconds. Second place went to Christian Pitzianti on Nunora Z. The rider from the Toscana Equitazione ASD riding club recorded a time of 60,78 seconds. Third place was taken by Riccardo Andreis. The rider, a member of the Italian junior national team, competed on Vivo Anlait PS. The stopwatch stopped at 61,66 seconds for this pair.

Pitzianti won the C135 category, which was ridden in phases. His time on Hatila De La Riviera was 25,64 seconds. Maria Salvini (OS Stable 1992) finished second on Opra Rose VDL with a time of 26,37 seconds. Vittori came in third with Taurus Astri, whose time was 27,3 seconds. The C130 category was again ridden against the clock. Here, Salvini was unbeatable, achieving by far the fastest time of 59,34 seconds on La Sisilla. Pitzianti took second place on M. Etrusco Dei Settemerli (64,82), while his teammate Federica Folonari finished third on Tiffany Z in 66,66 seconds.

Bernardi wins the C120 category, bringing success to South Tyrol.

The C125 category, meanwhile, was again judged in phases. Ludovica Ternullo (OS Stable 1992) emerged victorious on Coriandolo Del Piopetto (26,1). Giulia Pezzotti (SEC SSD A RL) finished second on Opscotch II (26,28), while Andrea Bettin (Planet Equitrek ASD) and Carson took third place. A South Tyrolean victory also came in the C120 category, which was likewise judged in phases. Sophia Bernardi from Val Gardena triumphed on Paganini Due Elle with a time of 27,14 and 0/8 faults. Lucrezia Sinigaglia secured second place on Dream De Baussy (43,23-0/8), while Giulia Zecca (Cavalcare ASD) and Orinoco Gold finished third (39,43/4).

“We kicked off the third and final tournament of the highest category, A5*, with great momentum this Friday. Our fantastic facility saw some very close finishes, while others allowed a rider to truly shine. Now, as organizers, we need to stay focused for the final two days of our event. The first competitions begin at 8:00 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free for all spectators,” explained the organizers from the Wiesen Riding Club.
