Broomball: Neumarkt wins first semi-final match
On Sunday evening, the first semi-final between Neumarkt and Leifers took place in the Würth Arena. The Vikings had strengthened their team at short notice with some former players from Val Gardena in order to be on a par with Neumarkt in terms of line-up. The focus was on the brotherly duels between Marian and Kilian Pallabazzer, as well as the Lunger brothers.

The game began as expected with high pressure from Neumarkt, but Leifers was prepared and hardly allowed any chances. With several penalty minutes on both sides, the game lost a little of its intensity and remained tied at half-time. In the second half, Leifers also picked up the pace and fought for several good chances. M. Pallabazzer probably had the biggest chance of the game, who was beautifully set free and appeared alone in front of goalie Radakovich, but then got confused and was no longer a threat.
With amazing show performances on both sides, penalty minutes were handed out again and the game began to slow down again. 2,5 minutes before the end, Steiner suddenly appeared in front of the Leiferer goal and hammered the ball into the net unhindered. No chance for Foini and thus 1:0 Neumarkt and also the final score. The Vikings will do everything in their power in the return match to force a third game and keep their chance of reaching the final alive. Next Sunday, Pochi will host BC Belluno in the second semi-final.
