Broomball World Cup: First defeat for Team South Tyrol

On the fourth day of the tournament, Team South Tyrol suffered defeat for the first time at the Broomball World Championship in Megève and Saint-Gervais (France).

There was nothing to be gained against the helicopters from Canada. Goalkeeper Foini had to reach behind him five times. Points were already dropped against the Swiss national team when they scored a lucky 16:2 goal 2 seconds before the end.

The South Tyroleans made short work of the favored Predators from Canada and the hosts France, winning 3:1 and 3:0 respectively. On Friday, it's all or nothing against the Dingos from Australia. With a win, the South Tyrol team still has a chance of a place on the podium.
