The match against Canada was exciting right up to the end, but in the end the North Americans narrowly prevailed with a score of 1:0. Canada secured bronze at the Broomball World Championships, while the South Tyrol team had to settle for fourth place.

Nevertheless, the South Tyroleans draw a positive conclusion. "This was the best performance so far by a South Tyrolean team in the international broomball circus," they said in a press release.
