Coach Jörg Ramel's fistball players experienced a weekend full of ups and downs. The team showed morale and fighting spirit against strong opponents, but also dropped important points – now the home game in Bolzano next Saturday will decide the rest of the season.

On Saturday, they first suffered a bitter 3-0 defeat against TUS Kremsmünster. "We never found our way into the game; it was our weakest performance of the season," Ramel summarized. But the players, led by captain Valentin Schwarz, showed character and redeemed themselves in their second match against ASKÖ Seekirchen. With hard work, an unbridled will to win, and strong defense, the South Tyroleans secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory.

On Sunday, the momentum continued. The team, led by attackers Dennis Thalmann and Leo Kuhn, delivered a strong performance against TV Enns, earning a 3-2 victory in a thriller. "That was an important win to stay in the race for promotion," emphasized attacker Thalmann. But in the final duel against Union St. Leonhard, the momentum again slipped. Instead of clearly dominating the stragglers, they unnecessarily overpowered their opponents and narrowly lost 2-3 in sets.

This dramatically worsens the situation in the standings: the decisive match will be played next Saturday in Bolzano. Two wins would secure the South Tyroleans a place in the top five and thus open up a chance of promotion in the spring round. Two defeats, on the other hand, threaten a relegation battle.

"It will be a final for us," said captain Schwarz combatively. "We want to show our fans in Bolzano that we can fight for every ball and achieve our ultimate goal of promotion."
