Giovanni Podini remains head of Sporthilfe

New board, proven leadership: At the first meeting of the newly elected board, Giovanni Podini was unanimously confirmed as president of the South Tyrolean Sports Aid. Jochen Schenk remains in office as vice president.

At the first meeting of the newly elected board of Südtiroler Sporthilfe, the committee met to discuss a few key issues. The focus was the election of the president: Giovanni Podini was unanimously confirmed in his position. Jochen Schenk was also re-elected as vice president by the board members.

The leadership of South Tyrolean Sports Aid will therefore remain unchanged for the next four years. In addition to the President and Vice President, the Board of South Tyrolean Sports Aid also includes Dorotea Mader, Sabine Oberhollenzer, Georg Altstätter, Heinold Pider, Christian Untermarzoner, Thomas Ladurner, Benno Hofer, Isabel Amico, Gerhard Vanzi, and Mirco Marchiodi.

"I am pleased to once again receive the trust of the board and to be able to lead South Tyrolean Sports Aid into the future. An important point in this legislative period are the Olympic Games, which will take place in Italy in a few months – a significant milestone for many young athletes. We want to support them as best as possible on this path," emphasized Giovanni Podini after his re-election.

Also Jochen Schenk expressed his delight at the renewed trust: "We will continue to fully support youth sports in South Tyrol. Our athletes can count on us – not only financially, but also morally. We are there to support them with advice and assistance wherever needed."
