Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic have had their second child

“Our boy has a little brother,” Ivanovic wrote on Instagram on Friday. The two athletes posted a photo with four hands - including those of a child and a baby. Schweinsteiger wrote: “We are grateful and full of love for our new family member. Welcome to the world little man.” He didn’t give a name. The first child is almost one and a half years old and was born in March 2018.

Schweinsteiger and Ivanovic have been a couple since 2014 and they married in Venice in the summer of 2016. The family currently lives in Chicago, where Schweinsteiger is under contract with the Chicago Fire club. Ivanovic, who comes from Serbia and was previously the number one women's tennis player, ended her career in December 2016 after several injuries and accompanied her husband to the USA.

FC Bayern Munich - Schweinsteiger's former club - sent congratulations on Friday: "All the best, Basti & family," the club wrote on Twitter - and posted the hashtag #MiaSanFamily.

The soccer star Bastian Schweinsteiger (35) and the ex-tennis player Ana Ivanovic (31) have had their second child - again it's a son.
