Davis Cup: Sinner & Co. know their opponent

On Thursday, the draw for the Davis Cup finals in Málaga, Spain, took place, where Italy, led by superstar Jannik Sinner, will start as title favorites at the end of November.

In Bologna, the Azzurri (without Sinner) confidently secured their place in the final round. It is now known who the tennis stars from the boot-shaped country will face in the quarter-finals. The draw on Thursday showed that Italy will face Argentina. The South Americans have some strong singles players such as Francisco Cerúndolo and Sebastián Báez and, in Horacio Zeballos, the currently best doubles player in the world.

Nevertheless, Italy's team will be the favorite in the quarterfinals, which will take place between November 19 and 21. Especially because world number one Jannik Sinner will also be there. The Sextner was spared in Bologna and was instead in action as a loyal fan.

If Italy wins the quarter-finals, they will face either Australia or the USA in the semi-finals. A duel with Spain (and Carlos Alcaraz) is only possible in the final. The Davis Cup finals will take place from November 19 to 24.
