A new dream couple: Tennis star is newly in love

Tennis star Ben Shelton has revealed his love secret with a sweet photo. His new girlfriend is also a well-known athlete.

The Instagram post that Ben Shelton posted on Tuesday seems rather unspectacular at first glance. "I've been focused, but I'm climbing steadily; I'm nowhere near my peak," the world number 14 tennis player wrote alongside a series of photos showing the US player in the kitchen, getting out of his car, or in front of a private plane.

The reason why this post caused such a stir is the last of the five photos Shelton published in this series. In it, the 22-year-old takes a mirror selfie in an elevator – and receives a kiss on the cheek. It's quickly revealed by whom: The woman at Shelton's side is Trinity Rodman.

Famous father and a football star

This name is certainly familiar to sports fans. Trinity Rodman is the daughter of Dennis Rodman, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The 63-year-old was part of the legendary Chicago Bulls, led by basketball icon Michael Jordan, in the 90s.

But Trinity Rodman is much more than just Dennis's daughter: She has now made a name for herself in the USA. The 22-year-old is one of the country's best soccer players. And women's soccer is a sport that enjoys great popularity in the USA. Just last summer, Rodman and the USA were crowned Olympic champions, with the young striker playing a key role and scoring three goals during the tournament.

Now Trinity Rodman and Ben Shelton are a new dream couple in the USA, as Shelton is also one of the best tennis players. He is currently ranked 14th in the world, but experts agree that he can help shape the future of his sport. Just last January, the 22-year-old reached the semifinals of the Australian Open, where he lost to South Tyrolean superstar Jannik Sinner.
