In the Sinner Group: Medvedev strikes back

Former tournament winner Daniil Medvedev can still hope to reach the semifinals of the ATP Finals for professional tennis players.

In Turin, Medvedev defeated Australian tournament debutant Alex de Minaur 6:2, 6:4 and secured his first victory in his second group match.


At the end of the preliminary round, the world number four from Russia will face crowd favorite and local hero Jannik Sinner on Thursday. The event, featuring the eight most successful tennis players of the season, has a prize pool of 15,25 million dollars and begins with two groups of four, from which two players advance in each group.
