King Laurin Trophy: Two titles remain in South Tyrol

For the boys, in the U10 age group, the two local heroes Daniel Lechner and Christian Bacher made it to the final. There, Lechner was able to prevail in an exciting match in the third set tie-break with 3:6, 6:0, 10:7. In the U12 category, Martino Casolla from Ledro (Trento) faced off against Jonas Masten from Meran, who made it from qualification to the final. Masten turned 11 on the final day and played his first tournament in the U12 age group in Bolzano. The Merano native eliminated number 1 seed Stefan Vedovelli 6:4, 6:1 in the quarterfinals and defeated Casolla 6:0, 6:4 in the final. In the U14 age group, the final was a pure Trent affair between Davide Ferrarolli, who beat Stefano Pinzan from Bolzano in the semi-final, and his teammate from ATA Trento Stefano D'Agostino. Ferrarolli had to admit defeat in the final with 1:6, 3:6. Simon Ebner and Simone Versini from Arco faced each other in the U16 final. The Paulsner, who plays for TC Bozen, didn't have to play a single match to get to the final because his opponents - including the top seed Manuel Plunger - were unable to compete due to illness. In the final, Ebner had no chance against Versini and went down 0:6, 2:6.

For the girls, the U10 category was canceled due to a lack of participants. The remaining three titles all went to ATA Trento. The U12 Anita Pantezzi narrowly prevailed against the Ladin Nadin Vinatzer 6:4, 3:6, 7:5, and in the U14 Sveva Bernardi also won against Lara Pfeifer from TC Rungg 7:5 in the third set. Beatrice Zanlucchi won the U16 category against Alessia Passerini from TC Brentonico.
