Röck and Hilber win the Raiffeisen Grand Prix in Sand in Taufers

Röck clearly defeated Massimo Dondini from TC Vergato 6:1, 6:3 in the semi-finals. With the same result, he finally defeated Armin Leiter from TV Ahrntal in the final, who had previously retained the upper hand in the semi-finals after a tough fight against his club colleague Hannes Christanell with a 7:6, 5:7, 7:6 win. Carolin Hilber lived up to her role as favorite among the women and in the final, like two months ago at the Raika Grand Prix in St. Johann im Ahrntal, put the 13-year-old Sarah Schmid from Welsberg in her place with 6:4, 6:0. The two tennis players also faced each other in the U16 final of the youth tournament that SSV Taufers organized alongside the Grand Prix. Here too, the victory went to Hilber, who clearly won in two sets 6:2, 6:1. Schmid was happy about winning the U14 age group. In the boys' U16 final, Simon Ebner benefited from the defeat of his club colleague from TC Bozen Davide Muhmudy with a score of 4:6, 7:6. Nicolò Toffanin from TC Rungg won the boys' U14 tournament, while Lena Untertrifaller (SV Lana) and Nicholas Da Rin (TC St. Christina) secured victory in the U12 category.
