Jannik Sinner (left) has once again caused a stir.

She cries with happiness: Sinner's gift touches little fan

Jannik Sinner is not only the best tennis player in the world, but also a true gentleman. After his triumph over Alexander Bublik, the Sexten native moved a little girl to tears.

There are tears of sadness, disappointment, and anger. And then there are tears of joy. The fact that these latter tears flowed in streams on Court Philippe-Chatrier early Wednesday evening is thanks to Jannik Sinner. After his outstanding triumph in the quarterfinals of the French Open, he surprised a little girl with a special gift.

But first things first. Jannik Sinner just put on a brilliant show, his opponent Alexander Bublik literally swept off the court and has advanced to the semifinals of the French Open. While the crowd is still cheering him on, he quickly signs a few autographs in the first row of stands behind his bench. He encounters a little girl waiting with shining eyes and a sign ("Jannik Sinner Number 1").

The Pustertal native promptly hands the little fan his blue French Open towel and signs the poster, leaving the young girl completely stunned and surprised – and unable to hold back her tears of joy. A scene that went viral around the tennis world and once again demonstrates Jannik Sinner's current charisma. The young fan won't soon forget this day.
