Sinners New Year's Eve party in the best company

Before he started his long journey to Australia, Jannik Sinner celebrated New Year’s Eve with some friends – some of whom were famous.

Today, Thursday, the tennis year 2025 begins for Jannik Sinner. The Sexten superstar is heading to Melbourne, where the Australian Open will take place from January 12th. Sinner will be competing in a Grand Slam tournament as defending champion for the first time. His triumph a year ago, when he brought Daniil Medvedev to his knees in a phenomenal five-set final and was able to raise his first Grand Slam trophy, will remain unforgettable.

Before the long journey to the other side of the world, Sinner enjoyed a leisurely end to the year. After spending a few days in South Tyrol over Christmas, He spent the last days of the year in his adopted home of Monte Carlo and celebrated New Year's Eve with some friends who have quite prominent names.

Sinner was sitting at the table with Antonio Giovinazzi, who competed in Formula 2019 for Alfa Romeo Racing between 2021 and 1 and most recently won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. Also present was professional cyclist Giulio Ciccone, who won the mountain classification at the 2023 Tour de France. Jannik Sinner toasted the end of the year with these two athletes, but also with his other friends.



Now it's off to Australia. To get a feel for the surface and the conditions, Sinner will play two exhibition matches in the Rod Laver Arena - the large stadium of the Australian Open. First he will play against local hero Alexei Popyrin (January 7th) and then against Stefanos Tsitsipas (January 10th), before the first Grand Slam tournament of the season finally begins on January 12th.
