Stefano Napolitano wins the ATP Challenger in Val Gardena
The 21-year-old Stefano Napolitano from Biella won the ATP Challenger in Val Gardena thanks to a clear 6:4, 6:1 win in the Italian final against Alessandro Giannessi. The 26-year-old finalist from La Spezia was no longer fully fit from the middle of the second set. The first victory in an ATP Challenger brings Napolitano prize money of 9200 euros and 90 world ranking points, with which he will improve to 170th place in the ATP ranking.
