US Open: Even the rain can't stop Andreas Seppi

After Karin Knapp, the second South Tyrolean tennis player at the US Open, Andreas Seppi from Kalter, reached the second round of the fourth and final Grand Slam tournament of the season on the night from Wednesday to Thursday. The 29-year-old, number 20 on the seed list, defeated the experienced Belgian Xavier Malisse (number 113 in the world) in the opening match 6:3, 3:6, 7:5, 7:5 in almost three hours of play.
