It's amazing what a hype Jannik Sinner is causing in Turin. Even the stars are becoming fans of the 23-year-old from Sexten. Sprint ace Filippo Tortu, ex-Juve coach Max Allegri and current Milan coach Paulo Fonseca are just a few of the big names who have met the best tennis player in the world in Turin and expressed their admiration.

Then there are the thousands of fans from Italy and South Tyrol who are at the feet of the world number one. And the family, which of course cannot be missing at such an important event as Turin. Mum Siglinde, dad Hanspeter, brother Mark, uncle Florian - everyone came to keep their fingers crossed for their favourite. There is only one person who is missing at the ATP Finals: Jannik Sinner's girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya.

In May of this year, the two tennis stars made their relationship public. Anna, currently number 14 in the women's world rankings, was sitting in the stands when Jannik triumphed at the US Open. When Sinner played in Beijing a few weeks later, the Russian was also cheering in the players' box. But she has not yet appeared at the ATP Finals - and that is unlikely to change this weekend and during the hot phase of the tournament.

Almost simultaneously with Sinner's match against Daniil Medvedev On Thursday evening, Kalinskaya posted an Instagram story that shows her thousands of kilometers away from Turin. "Hello Miami," wrote the Russian, who was enjoying the blazing Florida sun in a bathing suit. Kalinskaya is apparently treating herself to a vacation after an exhausting season in which she achieved her best ranking, 11th place.

The fact that the 25-year-old is not with Sinner has naturally sparked speculation. Russian media even report that the two have taken a break from their relationship. However, there have been such rumors before, for example before the US Open. The speculation was denied by Kalinskaya herself at the time, when she told Sinner after the final victory in New York a victory kiss missed.

Sinner himself said in an interview just last week about his relationship with Kalinskaya: "I want it to be something very natural, something that is a completely normal part of my life. I can't allow myself to change as a player or a person. That hasn't happened, and that's exactly why it works." Does something like that sound like a break in the relationship?
