Cryptic statement: Will Bö brother Tarjei also resign?

The retirement of Johannes Thingnes Bö has caused a stir in the biathlon world. Now the question arises as to the whereabouts of his older brother Tarjei – who caused a stir with a cryptic statement.

He was not shocked by his brother's announcement last Saturday. After all, Tarjei Bö was one of those people who had long been privy to Johannes Thingnes Bö's secret. "I've known since Christmas," the 36-year-old revealed in an interview with NRK. "It wasn't really difficult to keep it a secret, it's something I've been doing for 15 years. I've known how it works since the first time I met a journalist."

But the news did not leave Tarjei completely unscathed. "When he told me three weeks ago, it was terrible," he said. "But it was special when he told the whole world. It was an important day for him, he was very emotional and said very nice things about his career, his life, his family and also about me. It was impressive," he continued.

End of career? "Johannes knows it"

When one superstar retires, the question of the future naturally arises for the Olympic champion, who is five years older than him. Tarjei did not reveal his cards, however - but his brother already knows his decision. "I know the answer, I know what I'm going to do, but I won't give anything away," said the eleven-time world champion. "But Johannes knows."
