Magdalena Neuner celebrates her 6th World Cup victory in Antholz
Magdalena Neuer remains the “Queen” of Antholz. Five years ago, in 2007, her star rose here when she became a three-time world champion. After the two victories in the pursuit and sprint two years ago, she celebrated her sixth triumph in Antholz today in her last season as an active athlete in front of 10.000 enthusiastic spectators. Neuner won the 7.5 km sprint clearly ahead of the Finnish Kasia Mäkäräinen and the Belarusian Darya Domracheva (+30,5 seconds). The best “Azzurra” was Katja Haller from Ridnaun, who had to settle for 23rd place.
