The difficult weather situation with warm wind and rain continues to cause major difficulties at the Biathlon World Championships in the Czech Republic. As a result, part of the planned racing track in the men's pursuit race cannot be used on Sunday, as the IBU world association announced a few hours before the start (17.05:2500 p.m.). Instead, a different course is used, which extends the usual lap length from 2550 to around XNUMX meters.

The women are scheduled to complete their pursuit race on the usual circuit starting at 14.30:XNUMX p.m. The training sessions in the World Cup Arena scheduled for Sunday morning were canceled.

On Monday there will be the second day of rest at the World Championships in Nove Mesto. Apart from the training, the time should be used to bring the battered World Cup slope back into shape. A slight improvement in the weather is forecast for the following competition days.

With this notice, the organizers in the World Cup Arena informed about the route change.
