Tabanelli siblings confident in qualification

Miro and Flora Tabanelli mastered the qualification for the Big Air World Cup on Sunday in Beijing with flying colors.

An excellent performance earned Miro Tabanelli first place in the qualification for the Big Air showdown. On Friday, the Italian collected a total of 183,75 points, clearly beating the American Marc Forehand (171,75) and the Swiss Kim Gubser (169,50).

This gives the 20-year-old, who finished seventh at the opening event in Switzerland a few weeks ago, hope for a top placing. His teammate Leonardo Donaggio's 133,00 points were not enough.

Tabanelli's sister Flora also managed to qualify. After her sensational podium finish in Chur The 17-year-old has now followed up in Beijing and qualified for Sunday's competition in sixth place with 143,75 points. The best in the qualification was the Swiss Mathilde Gremaud (161,75).
