Third place for Vötter and Oberhofer – that is the result after the women's doubles race on Saturday. The two South Tyroleans were already in third place after the first run and were able to successfully defend this position in the second run. This means that the duo won the bronze medal at this year's European Luge Championships.
Gold went to Austria. Selina Egle and Lara Michaela Kipp secured the European Championship title ahead of Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal from Germany. The second South Tyrolean duo, consisting of Nadia Falkensteiner and Annalena Huber, finished in 7th place.
