Daniela Mittermair will always remember the last season. At the beginning of January, she achieved her best World Cup result to date in Laas, finishing second behind Evelin Lanthaler. Two weeks later, at the World Cup in Umhausen, the 2-year-old fell and was seriously injured.

The diagnosis: a broken ankle. Two screws had to be put in, which meant the end of the season. "I wasn't allowed to do anything for six weeks," recalls the woman from Eggental. She was only able to start her rehabilitation training slowly, and a lot of physiotherapy was on the agenda.
