“Beautiful”: This is what Paris says about its record victory
Dominik Paris added another milestone to his career on Sunday. The Ultner not only celebrated his 5th victory in Kvitfjell (NOR), but also caught up with the South Tyrolean ski icon Gustav Thöni in the all-time best list.

Dominik Paris has 24 World Cup victories to his name since this Sunday. That is the same number as Gustav Thöni, who until then was ranked second in the all-time list of Italian ski winners behind Alberto Tomba (2). Now the Vinschger has to share the place with Paris - who of course still has the opportunity to overtake Thöni at some point.
Paris sensed early on that something was possible in the Super-G in Kvitfjell. "I felt really good from the start. I was convinced and the Super-G was set quickly, it was nice to ski," said Paris after the race in Kvitfjell. The fact that the green number 1 lit up at the finish was "wonderful," said the 35-year-old from Ultental. For Paris, the victory in Kvitfjell was the second of the weekend, after he had already triumphed in the downhill on Friday. Of his 2 World Cup victories, Paris celebrated 24 in the downhill and 19 in the Super-G.
With confidence to the World Cup final
"Ending the season with two wins is really great. I'm in top form now after a disappointing start to the season. I worked a lot on the equipment to find the best solution. I had to build up my confidence and I managed to do that little by little until I was competitive again. After these results, I'm going into the World Cup final with a completely different motivation and confidence. We're skiing on a new track and I hope that I'll quickly understand what it's all about," Paris concluded.Edit Profile
