It was a spectacular slalom that thousands of ski fans got to see on Sunday in Adelboden. In the big classic, Paco Rassat, the rising star of the slalom season, ultimately prevailed. Behind him finished the two Norwegians Atle Lie McGrath and Henrik Kristoffersen. The latter caused quite a stir after the race.
Kristoffersen had led the field after the first run, his 34th World Cup victory within reach. But after a less-than-perfect second run, the Norwegian was relegated to third place.
