At the 6th edition of the European Cup slalom on the Goasleitn slope, the “Queens of Goasleitn” show their full range of skills – with thrilling duels, top sporting performances and real racing excitement for spectators in the finish area as well as for fans in the live stream.
The event received the green light after successful FIS snow control on the challenging Goasleitn slope in Steinhaus. The final starting list also promises top-level skiing: athletes from a total of 27 nations will be competing. The Italian skiers are particularly well represented, followed by the teams from Switzerland, France, the USA, Austria, and Sweden.
Countess Celina Haller is competing in the Ahrntal.
Among those competing are top international athletes such as last year's winner, Estelle Alphand of Sweden, Nicole Good of Switzerland, and Martina Dubovska of the Czech Republic. Adding to the excitement will be the South Tyrolean up-and-coming talents, including Laura Steinmair and Celina Haller, who will bravely launch themselves from the starting gate directly into the notorious steep slope of the Goasleitn.
The first run starts at 10 a.m. on both race days, with the final decision for the podium places taking place from 13 p.m. onwards. After two intense days of racing, the sporting highlight concludes with a lively after-race party in the Hexenkessel and the Skihaus Pub – where the successful athletes will be celebrated once again.
