Downhill training: A rare Delago feat

The speed ladies are racing in Kvitfjell, Norway, this weekend. The final training session was very close. The Delago sisters managed something strange.

The first 15 athletes all within one second: This is the result of the second and final downhill training in Kvitfjell. The fastest was the newly crowned world champion Breezy Johnson, who beat Cornelia Hütter by 0,04 seconds and Mirjam Puchner by 0,06 seconds.

Meanwhile, the two Delago sisters have accomplished a curious feat. They are both in 25th place in the final ranking - because they achieved exactly the same time. Both 27-year-old Nadia and her sister Nicol, who is two years older, stopped the clock at 1.34,82:1,39 minutes and were thus 50 seconds behind. A curiosity that has probably not happened often in their careers. The third South Tyrolean in the group, Vicky Bernardi, ended up in XNUMXth place.

Two departures planned

The Azzurre took it a little easier on Thursday, and Federica Brignone was the only Italian in the top 10 in seventh place. In any case, it is quite possible that there could be very close races in the downhill races on Friday (10.30:10.30 a.m.) and Saturday (10.30:XNUMX a.m.). The weekend will be rounded off with a Super-G on Sunday (XNUMX:XNUMX a.m.).
