Marcel Hirscher is back on the slopes

He is currently completing some training sessions at the Reiteralm in the Austrian holiday region of Schladming-Dachstein. As he shared on social media, he is “back in the office doing his favorite work.”

What it's all about? In addition to having fun skiing, he wants to take his “Van Deer” skis to a higher level. The ski brand, founded by Hirscher, is expected to be represented in the World Cup next season. At the Reiteralm there were also some giant slalom and slalom poles available for Hirscher's training sessions.

There was also prominent company for the Salzburg native, who ended his active career two years ago. Among other things, Hirscher trained on Monday with the French slalom specialist Clément Noël. On Monday morning, Noël posted a photo of the two of them on his Instagram account.

Canadian Erik Read also announced on social media that he was working with Hirscher. He posted a video explaining that the former Austrian ski ace was an idol "and still got it."

The 32-year-old Hirscher ended his active skiing career around two years ago. However, the former slalom and giant slalom specialist, who won the overall World Cup a total of 2 times in his career and won Olympic gold several times, has ruled out a comeback. He wants to concentrate entirely on his ski brand.
