Andrea Ellenberger is currently experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions. The Swiss skier has serious doubts about whether she will continue her career. At the same time, a wonderful event is approaching: As Ellenberger announced on Instagram, she will soon be married.
Bad luck in games, lucky in love – that's one way to summarize the story. Ellenberger, who has 53 World Cup starts under her belt, was dropped from the Swiss national team a year ago and had to fend for herself from then on. At the end of December 2024, the 32-year-old technical specialist suffered another shock when she broke her leg and missed the rest of the season. Whether Ellenberger will ever return to the ski stage was left open in a recent Instagram post.
"Honestly, I don't have an answer. Right now, it's not about making big decisions. It's about getting healthy, enjoying life, and spending time with the people who matter most to me," the Swiss woman wrote.
Bachelorette party before the wedding
A few days ago, Ellenberger enjoyed a great time with her best friends, including Swiss ski racer Aline Danioth. They celebrated Ellenberger's bachelorette party together."To love, to friendship. Beautiful weeks lie ahead," Ellenberger commented on her post, revealing that she's engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Silvan. The skier also shared several photos and videos from her bachelorette party, making it clear: Andrea Ellenberger has long since regained her sense of humor.
