Goggia in tears: “Always keep your dreams in your heart”

Sofia Goggia is back with an emotional Instagram post. Just one day after her interview in which she announced her comeback, the 30-year-old gives a deep insight into her inner life.

After a difficult season marked by injuries and inner struggles, the exceptional Italian athlete is ready to live her dreams again. "Keep in your heart your dream," Goggia quotes her mother in the post.

It was a long road back to the slopes for the 2018 Olympic champion, who suffered a serious fall in February of this year and was out for a long time. But now, at the start of the season in Beaver Creek, the Italian is fighting and grateful.

The Dark Side of Success

But where there is light, there are also shadows. Goggia has been repeatedly set back by injuries. Whether it's a torn cruciate ligament, a broken shinbone or, most recently, a complicated ankle fracture - the list of her setbacks is long. But it is precisely this resilience that sets her apart.

Her emotional post shows how deep the past few months have been. The moment of the fall, the feeling of failure and the fight back to life. But it is also clear how much her family, especially her mother, supported her. "I looked up at the sky, just like that day in February. But this time I smiled - full of gratitude. Thank you for being there quietly," wrote Goggia.
