Vincent Kriechmayr is one of the best speed riders in the World Cup. This year he was crowned double world champion at the World Championships in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The footballers are more in the spotlight, are even better known, they can't go out in public without being recognized. I would never want to trade places with Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. As world-famous as they are, they can't move around without being seen. That’s why they can happily earn hundreds of millions as far as I’m concerned, I’m not jealous.”

Kriechmayr also talked about his girlfriend Michaela Heider, who is an active ski racer in the World Cup. The reporter wanted to know whether a skier needs a female skier as a partner. “I don’t know, but it happened that way. It turned out quite well and I am happily taken,” said the 9-time World Cup winner. Do people only talk about skiing at home? “No, we talk about everything else too, like normal partners. Of course, skiing is also present and we talk about certain things. But we don't want to coach each other too much because she has good coaches and I have good coaches. That’s why it’s better not to interfere too much.”

The ski star has a clear opinion: “Basically, I have no problem going full throttle in Kitzbühel and risking my health to some extent.
