Maria Höfl-Riesch is currently on a cruise from Shanghai to Tokyo, and not on just any ship, but on the MS Europa, the ship on which her new boyfriend works as a manager. Romance on the high seas? There are worse things!

With a big smile and the words "Ready for new adventures!" the former ski queen posted on Instagram. The really exciting thing about her post: her new boyfriend, Johann Schrempf, is not only on board - he is the ship's hotel manager.

The MS Europa 2 is one of the most elegant cruise ships in the world – the perfect setting for a love story that sounds like a romantic film.

From the slopes to the deck

The former ski racer made a fresh start with her manager Marcus Höfl after her divorce. Höfl-Riesch has known her new man for ten years. As long as she was still with her ex-husband, the two were just good friends. When the marriage broke up last summer, more developed between the two. In November, a picture of the two kissing at an after-show party appeared. In January, Höfl-Riesch made the relationship public: "Yes, we are a couple," she told the BILD.

“I have butterflies in my stomach,” Höfl-Riesch recently revealed in an interview with Gala. It's no wonder that she sometimes visits her lover at work. The two of them are in a long-distance relationship because of their work. Being together on the high seas is certainly a welcome change.
