Lindsey Vonn's anticipation: "I think I'm ready"

Lindsey Vonn is about to make her highly anticipated racing comeback in St. Moritz. On Saturday she spoke about her return adventure and how she feels on the skis.

On Friday, ski fans around the world received exciting news: Lindsey Vonn is returning to the slopes and will be competing in St. Moritz next week. The American has already taken part in the downhill training in Beaver Creek and was seen as a forerunner on the course in Saturday's race. The 82-time World Cup winner then commented on her impressions and the latest developments in a TV interview.

"It's crazy, it was so much fun and the atmosphere here is so good," smiled the likeable Vonn. The returnee is visibly blossoming in her new old role and is enjoying her comeback on skis.

One of the big questions that could be answered next weekend is: How good is Lindsey Vonn? The 40-year-old was confident: "I was doing well on the first day. I think I'm ready for my comeback to racing. Everything is as it used to be, I feel comfortable at the start and with the speed, everything felt great."

Nevertheless, the Olympic champion remains realistic because she knows how strong the competition is: "I have to find my rhythm again, but keep your fingers crossed for me." On December 21 and 22, Vonn will compete in two Super-G races in St. Moritz. Then we will see how much potential the exceptional athlete still has.
