It was July 18, 2016, when Mattias Hargin's life suddenly changed. The Swedish slalom star received the news that no one wants to hear. His wife Matilda, whom he had married just a few months earlier, died in an avalanche accident in Chile.
The world of the skier, who won the Kitzbühel slalom in 2015, was turned upside down. For a short time he even considered giving up his sport. But in the end Hargin decided to carry on. He fought his way back not only on the slopes, but also back into life.

And: The Swede, who ended his career in 2019, found new love with Lovisa Falkenberg. In December 2022, the couple announced that they were engaged. Now another wonderful step follows: the two have become parents for the first time.
Hargin announced this on Instagram. Little Oliver was born in mid-November and made the couple's happiness complete. It is a very emotional story that Mattias Hargin has written here.
