Paris after bronze: "High importance to me"

South Tyrolean Dominik Paris and Italian Giovanni Franzoni ensured a dream start for the Azzurri at the Olympic Games. Here we have gathered the reactions of the two medal winners in Bormio.

The 24-year-old was also delighted for his teammate Dominik Paris, who is a great idol of his: “It’s the biggest possible stage to share a podium with Domme. I’ve always wanted that. Before the season, I was still outside the top 30 in the downhill start list. It’s the best podium I could have imagined – with my junior rival Franjo von Allmen and with Domme.”

The winner, on the other hand, struck gold in his debut at the Games, just as he had at the World Championships: "It feels like a movie. I can't even say yet what this means for me. I'll only be able to judge it in a few days. But you couldn't ask for anything better at the Olympics."
