Sara Hector won her first World Cup victory in Kühtai in December 2014. A year later she tore the cruciate ligament in her left knee in Åre. It then took quite a long time until she regained her old performance. A year ago, in Courchevel of all places, she returned to the podium in second place. And that's exactly where she experienced the two best days of her career, because she was already second behind Mikaela Shiffrin on Tuesday.

Shiffrin took second place yesterday and extended her lead in the overall World Cup standings over Sofia Goggia, who was eliminated twice in Courchevel. Shiffrin also hinted that she would spend Christmas in South Tyrol.
