A milestone birthday is always a reason to celebrate, and when two of Germany's most famous sports stars come together, it can be a little more exuberant. When Bayern icon Bastian Schweinsteiger celebrated his 40th birthday, his long-time friend, multiple World Ski Championship medalist Felix Neureuther, took the opportunity to congratulate him in a very special way.

On Instagram, Neureuther posted a nostalgic photo from the couple's childhood days and a video that shows them celebrating exuberantly - in the middle of the festival tent, where they sing along to Robbie Williams' classic "Angels". It's not a musical masterpiece, but that didn't stop the two from enjoying the moment to the fullest and singing along.

"Here's to another 40 years together!" wrote Neureuther in his congratulatory message, expressing a good dose of anticipation for future anniversaries. Schweinsteiger insisted on the opportunity and responded: "I'm excited to hear what we'll sing then!"

An Instagram user promptly made a suggestion, alluding to the legendary song "Good friends can't be separated" by Franz Beckenbauer - a tribute that would be a perfect fit for the inseparable duo Neureuther-Schweinsteiger. The "Kaiser" was recently honored by the two friends in another joint event, which is why the idea has some charm.

Whatever the two will sing, one thing is certain: when Felix Neureuther and Bastian Schweinsteiger come together, no eye will remain dry.
