Severe fall: Fears for Federica Brignone

On Thursday, the giant slalom races are scheduled at the Italian Ski Championships in Val di Fassa. However, the green-white-red ski festival was overshadowed by a serious fall by Federica Brignone.

Concerns for Federica Brignone! The newly crowned overall World Cup winner suffered a serious fall during the giant slalom in Alpe Lusia on Thursday. Brignone tangled up at the gate during a right-hand turn and subsequently crashed onto the piste, twisting the ski star's knee badly.


Emergency services immediately arrived to provide Brignone with first aid. However, the 34-year-old was unable to leave the slope on her own. A rescue helicopter was dispatched, and Brignone was taken directly to a hospital.
